Testimonial

I first met Tim through the Gifted and Talented Program at my high school. I was interested in medicine, and he agreed to serve as my mentor during my senior year.

One of the first things he ever said to me was, “When I’m done with you, you’ll want to be an ER doctor!”   I had known Tim all of five-minutes when he made this statement, and at the time I thought, “This guy sure thinks a lot of himself.”  But in the end, he was right.

Dr. Reynolds saw that I had an interest, and he took that interest and fostered it. He did not hide any aspect of his job from me. He was very adamant that I see every facet of being a practicing ER physician. He respected me enough as a person, and as a student, not to shelter me or treat me like a child.

After I graduated high school and continued my journey into college, Dr. Reynolds and I stayed in contact, and he allowed me to come in and work with him anytime I was home or on break.

Through the years he has continued to encourage and motivate me on my chosen path. His tutelage meant a lot to me then, but in retrospect, it means even more to me now. Tim was not only my mentor, he has also been my friend when he did not have to be.
